Relax, Refresh and Recuperate

Hullo, my Pixels!
You may (or may not) have noticed I've been away from the blogging world for a week or so. This wasn't intentional; I was just a very naughty blogger who didn't schedule enough posts in advance to allow for being so busy during the half-term holidays. Rookie mistake, I know. We went away to my grandad's for a few days and then had to go to a wedding all weekend - neither places had internet! Seeing how I've been so busy lately, I thought it would be pretty obvious to do a post on how I've been chilling out and trying to avoid unnecessary stress.

Keep the Stress Away!
  • Bookworms: nearly everyone loves a good book, I don't know how people can get through life without reading loads of interesting books and stories. I find reading so relaxing because you can escape from any stresses in your own life and involve yourself in a whole other world. I'm currently reading Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli but it's taking me sooooo long to finish as it's quite a slow-starter - it's definitely an interesting story idea though, don't get me wrong.
  • Land of YouTube: I probably watch too many YouTube videos everyday; if I worked it out I must watch hours and hours a day. It's just such a great platform, where you can view videos other people have made for your entertainment, which makes it a great way to relax and have a laugh if you can't go out and do anything exciting.
  • Banishing spots: this one might sound a bit peculiar at first, but trust me, it makes sense. Spots are a common source of stress and there's nothing you can do to stop them from appearing. I hate the ones which you can feel forming before they actually show themselves, especially as they're the most painful ones ever. To reduce any unnecessary worry about silly little spots, I quickly run to the bathroom cabinet and hastily grab my little bottle of spot wonder - tea tree oil! You can buy a tiny bottle of the stuff for only £1 which lasts for an extremely long time. I recommend putting it on at night as it smells pretty strong, but it's so amazing at drying out the greasy spots and making them disappear.
It feels really good to be back in the blogging zone again, I've definitely missed writing and creating posts, even if it was only for a little while. That'll teach me to put off scheduling posts - pro procrastinator right here! I hope you enjoyed this little post and find some of it useful for when you need to get rid of some stress. Do you do anything specific everytime you get stressed out, or need something to help you relax properly? I'd love to hear it in the comments, maybe we can help each other out!

  3. This is great. I love me a good book to wind down, but it's so hard to pick one up sometimes when your focus isn't in the right place (I need to work on that)!

  4. I definitely need to read a lot more than I do, especially as I want to finish Stargirl before I read Wuthering Heights which I've gotta read for English! ♥
